L just gave herself her first injection in her belly. She's been reluctant to do so, since she feels that the lack of "blubber" (her term) there means that it will be way more painful than the thigh, where she's been giving herself shots for a few weeks. But the school nurse will be absent on Tuesday, so rather than have her teacher give her the lunchtime injection, she said she could do it herself. But she didn't want to have to pull down her pants to access her juicy thigh in school. So we told her she should try the belly.
She didn't really want to, and she lingered for long moments with the needle mere centimeters from her flesh but then she did it! And she said, "DID I JUST DO THAT?". It was awesome. AWESOME.
